Quantity Surveyor MEP

Quantity Surveying & Cost Management 

 Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and contract documents for Electrical, 

Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems. 

 Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, rate analysis, and budgetary proposals. 

 Verify subcontractor and supplier quotations and assist in procurement activities. 

 Track project quantities, variations, and material consumption. 

 Evaluate variation orders, additional works, and change requests. 

 Maintain records of project costs and assist in cost control activities. 

Billing & Commercial Activities 

 Prepare client RA bills and subcontractor payment certifications. 

 Verify site measurements and work progress for billing purposes. 

 Prepare measurement sheets and supporting documentation. 

 Track certified and pending bill amounts and coordinate with project teams for timely 

submissions. 

 Assist in claim preparation and contract administration activities. 

Design & Engineering 

 Develop MEP layouts, schematics, single-line diagrams, and coordination drawings. 

 Prepare shop drawings and construction drawings based on project requirements. 

 Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and project teams. 

 Review design drawings for constructability and identify clashes. 

 Support engineering calculations and material selection activities. 

 Assist in preparation of technical submittals and material approvals. 

Site Coordination & As-Built Documentation 

 Conduct site visits for quantity verification, progress monitoring, and technical 

coordination. 

 Verify executed works against approved drawings and specifications. 

 Record site modifications and update drawings accordingly. 

 Prepare and maintain as-built drawings for all MEP services. 

 Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to obtain field 

information. 

 Attend project meetings and provide technical support where required. 

Documentation & Reporting 

 Maintain project records, design documents, BOQs, billing records, and as-built 

documentation. 

 Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports. 

 Ensure all project documents are updated and properly archived. 

 Support project handover by preparing final documentation packages.
