Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves developing tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and refining various components within systems or applications. The role requires working with modern frameworks and adopting agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. 18–20+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, and Quality Engineering. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and continuous enhancement of software performance are integral parts of the daily workflow, fostering innovation and responsiveness to evolving project demands.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement performance improvements across software components.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to support professional growth.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to align software development with business objectives.
- Should be able to work across domains, applications, and technology landscapes and drive a consistent Shift-Left quality approach.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor teams and drive a culture of quality engineering

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Performance Testing Strategy.
- Strong expertise across multiple testing types, including functional, integration, regression, automation, API, performance, and E2E testing.
- Proven experience in defining and executing test strategies for complex enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience in implementing Shift-Left Testing across the SDLC.
- Ability to embed testing early in the lifecycle through requirement, design, development, integration, and release stages.
- Experience in driving AI-Augmented Testing, leveraging AI to improve automation, test coverage, test data, defect identification, and testing efficiency.
- Seasoned Test Strategy / Quality Engineering leader with strong experience in quality transformation and governance. - Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with business, product, technology, and senior leadership teams.
- Extensive industry and domain experience, with the ability to apply testing strategies across multiple business domains.
- Strong experience in E2E testing strategy, execution, and quality governance.
- Ability to establish quality gates, metrics, risk-based testing, and continuous testing practices.
- Strong expertise in designing and executing performance test plans and scripts.
- Experience with performance monitoring tools and analyzing system behavior under load.
- Ability to identify bottlenecks and recommend optimizations for software scalability.
- Familiarity with agile software development lifecycle and continuous integration practices.
- Skilled in collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure performance goals are met.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Performance Testing Strategy.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
