Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle procurement of raw materials, components, consumables, and production-related items.
- Identify and evaluate vendors/suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
- Raise and process Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up for timely delivery.
- Obtain quotations and conduct price negotiations with suppliers.
- Compare quotations and prepare cost comparison statements.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Planning teams.
- Monitor material availability, delivery schedules, shortages, and delays.
- Maintain vendor records, purchase documentation, and procurement MIS.
- Support cost reduction and localization initiatives.
