Experience: 5-8 years of relevant hands-on experience

Qualification: BE/BTech in Chemical Engineering, MSc Chemistry, or Mechanical Engineering with substantial SS cleaning and passivation experience.

Reports to: Production & Plant Qualification Manager; process acceptance controlled by QA

Role purposeDevelop, qualify and operate the complete SFN spool cleaning process: pre-cleaning, citric-acid passivation, rinsing, flushing, drying, nitrogen preservation and transfer to clean packing.

Key responsibilities- Develop procedures aligned with applicable ASTM A380/A967 and customer requirements.

- Establish chemical concentration, temperature, exposure time, bath monitoring and replacement criteria.

- Qualify CIP equipment, circulation arrangements, filters and wetted-contact materials.

- Verify that each batch configuration achieves the required flow and process conditions.

- Establish rinse-water controls, sampling and acceptance checks with the laboratory technician.

- Coordinate passivation efficacy and lot-acceptance testing with QA and external laboratories.

- Qualify drying using measured dew-point endpoints and approved nitrogen preservation procedures.

- Establish batch records linking process results to individual spools.

- Train operators in chemical preparation, equipment operation and contamination prevention.

- Coordinate chemical safety, utilities and effluent handling with EHS and maintenance.

Preferred industriesStainless-steel cleaning/passivation services, pharma purified-water/WFI systems, biotech or food-equipment manufacturing, and hygienic process-skid manufacturing.

Essential evidencePersonally executed and documented stainless-steel passivation and final-cleanliness verification. General water-treatment or routine CIP-operation experience alone is insufficient.

Initial deliverablesQualified process recipes and batch configurations, accepted cleaning/passivation trials, drying and preservation procedures, and trained operators.
