Job Description
Estimation EngineerCompany: GEM Pressure Systems Pvt. Ltd.
Location: Hyderabad
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical / Instrumentation
Experience: 2–5 Years
RoleResponsible for reviewing customer RFQs/tenders and preparing accurate technical and commercial estimates for high-pressure gas, hydraulic, pneumatic and instrumentation systems.
- Key ResponsibilitiesStudy RFQs, specifications, P&IDs, drawings and BOQs.
- Understand scope and identify technical clarifications.
- Prepare BOM/BOQ and preliminary system configuration.
- Select suitable valves, regulators, fittings, gauges, transmitters, pumps/boosters and instrumentation.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor/OEM quotations.
- Prepare detailed project costing covering material, fabrication, automation, testing, logistics and services.
- Prepare techno-commercial quotations, compliance statements and deviations.
- Maintain component pricing and estimation database.
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Purchase and Projects.
- Hand over finalized BOM, costing and quoted scope after order receipt.
- Required SkillsGood understanding of valves, fittings, instrumentation, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to read P&IDs and engineering specifications.
- Strong Excel and costing skills.
- Good vendor negotiation and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of pressure ratings, materials and engineering standards.
- Commercial awareness including margins, freight, taxes and delivery terms.
Preferred ExperienceExperience in high-pressure systems, industrial gases, oil & gas, instrumentation, process equipment, aerospace/defence or EPC projects is preferred.
