CCTV Technician

1. CCTV Installation & Commissioning: Install, configure, test, and commission CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and associated surveillance equipment as per the approved site layout and customer requirements.

2. Cabling & Cable Management: Perform end-to-end cabling for CCTV installations, including Cat6/network cables, coaxial cables, power cables, and other required connections. Ensure proper cable routing, dressing, termination, labeling, and protection through conduits, trunking, or cable trays.

3. Configuration & Troubleshooting: Configure IP addresses, camera settings, recording schedules, motion detection, storage, and remote viewing. Diagnose and resolve camera, network, power supply, connectivity, and recording-related issues.

4. Preventive Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct periodic preventive maintenance, including camera cleaning, focus and angle adjustment, connector inspection, cable testing, and verification of recording and playback functionality.

5. Site Survey & Technical Support: Conduct site surveys to identify camera locations, cabling routes, power availability, network requirements, and installation challenges. Coordinate with customers and the project team to ensure smooth execution.

6. Testing, Documentation & Handover: Test all cameras and recording systems before handover. Maintain installation reports, cable layouts, IP address details, equipment serial numbers, testing records, and customer sign-off documentation.

7. Customer Support & Service Calls: Attend customer complaints and service calls within the assigned timelines, identify root causes, implement corrective measures, and maintain proper service call reports.

8. Tools, Safety & Inventory Management: Maintain installation tools, cable testers, crimping tools, ladders, and other equipment. Follow electrical and work-at-height safety practices and maintain records of materials consumed and unused inventory.

9. Coordination & Project Execution: Coordinate with network engineers, electricians, site supervisors, and project managers to complete installations within the agreed timelines and quality standards.
