Solar Purchase Manager

Manage procurement of solar modules, inverters, batteries, structures, cables, AC/DC components, BOS materials and other solar equipment.

Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.

Obtain quotations and compare prices, quality, specifications and delivery timelines.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranty and delivery conditions with vendors.

Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) as per project requirements.

Coordinate with project, warehouse, accounts and sales teams for material requirements.

Maintain proper purchase records, vendor documents and quotation comparisons.

Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials at warehouse/site.

Follow up with suppliers regarding pending orders and dispatch schedules.

Ensure purchased materials meet required technical and quality specifications.

Develop alternative vendors to maintain competitive pricing and uninterrupted supply.

Monitor market prices and maintain updated vendor and product databases.

Handle vendor issues related to quality, delivery, replacement and payment coordination.

Support cost reduction and procurement planning for solar projects.

Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal records.
