Bengali Cook

The Kolkata Cabin is looking for an experienced and passionate Bengali Cook who can prepare authentic Bengali dishes and maintain consistent taste, quality, and portion sizes in a fast-paced cloud kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare authentic Bengali dishes, including fish curry, chicken and mutton kosha, shukto, dal, vegetable dishes, fish kalia, and traditional Bengali thalis.
• Prepare Bengali gravies, curries, bhaja, dal, chutneys, and other regional specialities.
• Follow standard recipes, ingredient measurements, portion sizes, and food cost guidelines.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, freshness, and quality.
• Ensure proper food storage, stock rotation, and minimal wastage.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation of customer orders.
• Assist with bulk food preparation for catering orders and special occasions.
• Follow kitchen SOPs and instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
• Candidate RequirementsPrevious experience as a Bengali Cook in a restaurant, hotel, catering business, or cloud kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of authentic Bengali cuisine and traditional cooking techniques.
• Ability to prepare both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Bengali dishes.
• Knowledge of fish preparation, Bengali spices, mustard-based gravies, and traditional recipes is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and manage preparation during peak hours.
• Responsible, punctual, hygienic, and committed to maintaining food quality.
• Candidates with experience in high-volume kitchen operations will be preferred.
