Job Description
An Airtel Engineer (Install/HDO Engineer) and Wiremanhandle the on-field installation, setup, and maintenance of Airtel Xstream Fiber broadband, Wi-Fi, and DTH services at customer locations
Wireman (Installation & Setup)
- Core Task: Lay, route, and terminate fiber optic or LAN cables at customer homes and offices.
- Support: Assist engineers with setting up ONT/ONU (Optical Network Terminal) boxes and Wi-Fi routers.
- Maintenance: Perform basic troubleshooting, line maintenance, and equipment checks.
- Requirements: Usually do not need a two-wheeler or driving license. [1, 2, 3, 4]
2. Install / HDO Engineer (Wi-Fi & Fiber)
- Core Task: Lead broadband and DTH installations, technology upgrades, shifting, and reactivations.
- Technical Setup: Configure Wi-Fi routers, test network speed, and ensure high signal quality.
- Quality & Compliance: Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety rules.
- Requirements: A valid two-wheeler driving license and a bike are typically mandatory for travel across assigned field areas
