Job Description – Commis III (Bakery)

Department: Bakery Operations Designation: Commis III – Bakery Location: Central Production Unit (CPU) Reporting To: CDP / Chef de Partie – Bakery

1. Job Purpose

To assist in daily bakery production, ensuring timely preparation, baking, packaging and dispatch of bakery products while maintaining quality, hygiene and food safety standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

* Assist in preparation and production of breads, cakes, cookies, muffins, brownies and other bakery products.

* Follow standard recipes, measurements and production processes.

* Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens and proofers.

* Ensure proper finishing, portioning and packaging of products.

* Check product quality, labelling, batch details and expiry dates.

* Support timely packing and dispatch of finished products.

* Follow FIFO/FEFO practices and maintain inventory discipline.

* Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards.

* Minimize raw material wastage and ensure proper storage.

3. Qualification & Experience

* ITI / Diploma / Certification in Bakery or Hotel Management.

* 0–2 years of relevant bakery experience.

* Freshers with relevant bakery training can also apply.

* Basic bakery production knowledge.

* Understanding of recipes and baking techniques.

* Attention to detail and quality orientation.
