Flower Market Sales & Operations Executive

Location: Ghazipur Flower Market, Delhi

Department: Sales & Market Operations

Duty Timing: 2:00 AM to 11:00 AM

1. Job Purpose

To manage daily sales and market operations at the flower market counter, ensuring smooth customer service, accurate stock handling, timely order fulfilment and proper accounting of daily transactions.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Sales & Customer Handling

• Attend to walk-in customers, florists, wholesalers and retailers.
• Explain product varieties, quality and pricing. 

B. Stock Management

• Check opening stock and verify stock received at the market counter.
• Ensure goods are properly arranged and identifiable.
• Record stock issued, sold, returned, damaged or transferred.
• Report shortages, excess stock and damaged material immediately.
• Ensure physical stock matches the daily stock records.

C. Order Processing & Dispatch

• Pick and pack goods against customer orders.
• Verify quantities before handing over material.
• Maintain a record of pending, completed and cancelled orders.
• Coordinate with delivery personnel and the main warehouse wherever required.

D. Cash Handling

·        Collect cash and digital payments and maintain transaction records.

• Record customer credit sales only with authorised approval.
• Reconcile daily sales, collections and outstanding amounts.
• Deposit or hand over collections to the designated person.

E. Daily Reporting

• Submit a daily sales report.
• Report opening stock, inward stock, sales, returns and closing stock.
• Report fast-moving items, stock shortages and customer requirements.
• Inform management about operational issues and competitor activity.

3. Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a wholesale market, flower market, vegetable mandi, FMCG distribution or similar business preferred.
• Experience in sales, stock handling and customer dealing.
• Basic arithmetic and ability to maintain simple written or digital records.
• Familiarity with smartphones, WhatsApp and basic billing applications.
• Honest, punctual, responsible and comfortable working independently.
• Must be able to report at 2:00 AM consistently.

4. Working Conditions

• Duty hours: 2:00 AM to 11:00 AM, subject to applicable working-hour and break requirements.
• Weekly off as per the approved roster.
• Candidate should preferably live within reasonable commuting distance or have reliable early-morning transport.
• Work involves standing, handling goods and working in a busy wholesale-market environment.
