Job Description – Senior Accountant / Accounts & Taxation Executive

Experience: 3–5 Years

Job Type: Full-Time | Field-Based & Office Work

Location: Multiple localities in & around Pune, Maharashtra

We are looking for smart, proactive and result-oriented accountants who can go beyond routine data entry and compliance. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing client accounts, identifying financial and compliance issues, improving accounting systems, generating meaningful management reports and helping clients make better business decisions. This role involves regular existing & new client visits

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Financial Management

• Review and manage accounting records, reconciliations, ledgers and financial statements.
• Identify accounting errors, control gaps and financial irregularities and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and implement accounting SOPs, improve accounting systems and strengthen internal controls.
• Prepare meaningful MIS and management reports to support business decisions.

2. Taxation & Compliance

• Handle GST and TDS compliance, tax payments, return filing and reconciliations.
• Assist in audit preparation, audit finalisation and financial statement finalisation.
• Handle income-tax and GST notices, including documentation, follow-ups and coordination with the relevant authorities.
• Manage salary processing, payroll calculations, labour laws and related statutory compliances.

3. Client Management & Field Work:

• Visit client premises regularly to review accounts, understand business operations and resolve accounting and compliance issues.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with existing clients and ensure timely, quality service.
• Understand clients' business requirements and provide practical accounting, taxation and financial solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve clients' accounting processes and financial reporting.

4. Business Development:

• Identify prospective clients and generate business opportunities for the company.
• Develop professional relationships with business owners and industrial establishments.
• Contribute to client acquisition, business growth and long-term client retention.

5. Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com); CA Inter or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation and compliance, preferably in a CA firm.
• Strong practical knowledge of accounting, GST, TDS, audits and financial statement finalisation.
• Working knowledge of income-tax notices, GST notices, payroll and labour law compliances.
• Good command of MS Excel, accounting software, reconciliations, MIS reporting and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and client-handling skills.
• Ability to independently identify issues, suggest solutions and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Two-wheeler/four-wheeler and a valid driving licence are mandatory.
• Willingness to travel regularly for client visits and business development activities.
