Quality Control Engineer

Looking for Quality Control Engineer.

• Raw Material Inspection: Checks incoming metal sheets (like stainless steel or aluminum) for correct thickness, surface defects, and material composition.
• Design & Detailing Review: Verifies 2D/3D shop drawings, bend allowances, and tolerances before cutting begins to reduce errors and material waste.
• In-Process Inspection: Monitors cutting, punching, and bending operations in real-time to catch deviations early.
• Final Verification: Measures finished dimensions (such as flatness, straightness, and perpendicularity) using tools like calipers, micrometers, and 3D scanners.

Essential Tools and Techniques

• Measuring Instruments: Standard hand tools like calipers, pin gauges, and micrometers for precise dimensional checks.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC): Software and mathematical methods used to monitor production trends and prevent defects.
• Error-Proofing (Poka-Yoke): Mechanisms designed to prevent operators from making mistakes during assembly or machine setup.

Core Responsibilities

• Incoming Inspection: Check raw metal sheets or coils for correct thickness, material grade , and surface flaws before production.
• In-Process Monitoring: Inspect parts during cutting, laser profiling, stamping, bending, and welding to catch errors early.
• Final Audit: Test finished assemblies for correct dimensions, weld integrity, flatness, and overall finish.
