Job Title: Field Officer – Merchant Relationship Management

Location: Chennai

Job Type: Full-Time | Field-Based

Maximum CTC: ₹30,000 per month

Job Purpose

To manage and grow an assigned portfolio of existing GPay merchants by conducting regular field visits, improving transaction activity, resolving merchant issues, retaining existing merchants, and promoting value-added services such as Soundpod and Goldie.

Key Responsibilities

Manage approximately 200–300 existing merchant IDs (MIDs).

Build strong relationships with merchants and understand their business requirements.

Conduct regular field visits to improve merchant engagement and transaction activity.

Identify inactive and low-performing merchants and drive reactivation.

Monitor merchant transaction performance and improve overall portfolio health.

Resolve merchant issues related to payment acceptance, devices, and operations.

Coordinate with internal support teams for timely issue resolution.

Identify opportunities and promote Soundpod and Goldie products to eligible merchants.

Maintain accurate merchant visit records, sales opportunities, and follow-up details in NetOne.

Achieve assigned targets related to merchant coverage, retention, transaction growth, and product adoption.

Eligibility Criteria

Education: Minimum 12th Pass; graduates preferred.

Experience: Minimum 1 year in field sales or merchant-facing roles.

Age: Preferably 21–35 years.

Preferred Experience: GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BharatPe, UPI/QR payments, Soundbox sales, fintech, banking, or merchant acquisition.

Communication: Good communication and relationship-building skills.

Field Work: Must be comfortable with daily market visits and extensive field travel.

Technical Skills: Basic smartphone and mobile application handling.

Language: Local language proficiency and basic Hindi; basic English preferred.

Location Preference: Candidates familiar with Patna or Chennai markets.

Compensation

Maximum CTC: ₹30,000 per month. Specific targets and incentive details will be communicated by the business team.

Role Expectations

The candidate must take ownership of merchant relationships, improve merchant engagement, increase transaction activity, resolve issues, and drive adoption of value-added products.

Preferred Candidates: Individuals with experience managing existing merchants, growing UPI transactions, handling merchant issues, or selling QR codes, Soundboxes, POS/EDC machines, or other digital payment products.
