Production Supervisor

A production supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure work runs safely, efficiently, and meets quality goals.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Workforce Management

·        Supervise staff: Assign daily tasks, manage shift schedules, and monitor worker performance.

·        Train employees: Teach new team members how to use machinery safely and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).

·        Coach teams: Provide constructive feedback, resolve conflicts, and boost workplace morale.

Production Planning

·        Execute schedules: Plan workflow to meet daily, weekly, or monthly output targets.

·        Monitor operations: Keep a close eye on the production line to spot delays or bottlenecks early.

·        Manage resources: Track inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure raw materials are ready.

·        Quality and Safety

·        Enforce standards: Inspect finished goods to ensure they match exact product specifications.

·        Maintain safety: Ensure all workers wear protective gear and follow health and safety regulations.

·        Fix equipment: Check machinery regularly and call maintenance staff when repairs are needed.
