What would you do? • You will be aligned with our Finance Operations vertical and will be helping us in determining financial outcomes by collecting operational data reports, whilst conducting analysis and reconciling transactions. • The Record to Report team supports accurate period end financial reporting, general ledger integrity, reconciliations, controls and audit ready accounting across assigned entities and accounts. • The JV Fund Investment Accounting team performs routine cash accounting, capital call processing, JV intercompany accounting, bank reconciliations, analytical support and standard reporting for JV and fund investment entities. The team records approved cash sweeps, capital activity, loan payments and capital call receivables payables, prepares intercompany reconciliation and elimination schedules, and supports finan • Business solutions for investment firms related to investment management (the functions or services required to make investment decisions for own or third party money according to predefined guidelines and objectives, including the related administration and reporting services)
What are we looking for? • • Finance Processes • • JV and fund accounting concepts, capital calls, equity accounting, partner balances and intercompany reconciliation • • Awareness of IFRS 11, ASC 323, REIT structures and bank or regulatory compliance considerations • Systems Knowledge (preferred) • • Exposure to Yardi or comparable ERP • Industry Experience (preferred) • • Experience in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs)
Roles and Responsibilities: • • In this role, you need to analyze and solve moderately complex problems • • You are required to create new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures • • You are required to understand the strategic direction set by senior management, clearly communicate team goals, deliverables, and keep the team updated on change • • Your primary upward interactions are with your direct supervisor • • Record cash receipts or payments and approved capital call receivables or payables; update entity balances and retain support. • • Perform bank and JV intercompany reconciliations, investigate mismatches and escalate unresolved or aged items with documented findings. • • Prepare JV analytics, period over period variance commentary, performance reports and supporting schedules for review. • • Prepare intercompany confirmation and elimination schedules and support close, controls, audit and partner reporting; specific KPI targets • Please note that this role may require you to work in rotational shifts
